Due to demand, BHR Group is re-running its Fluid Mixing Webinar . . . . Following the success of its two and three day residential courses, BHR Group, the independent contract research, technology and product development organisation, is acting on feedback received and running a series of hour long Webinars targeted at individuals and organisations who wish to learn about fluid engineering at an introductory level.

The Webinar is on Tuesday 4th June at 2:00pm (BST).  For further information and booking see website: http://www.bhrconferences.com/mixwebjune2013.aspx

Presented by David Brown, Senior Consultant at BHR Group, this webinar will give an introduction to mixing in an industrial context, focusing on the benefits to be realised by considering the impact of mixing on process performance and demonstrating the consequences of inappropriate mixer design.

Participants will gain an understanding of both the principles of fluid mixing and key fluid dynamic concepts for both single and multiphase (solid-liquid, gas-liquid and immiscible liquid) systems.  Design considerations and equipment selection for batch and continuous systems will be discussed, including both stirred vessels and in-line static mixers....

BHR Group, the independent contract research, technology and product development organisation, today announced another of its specialised fluid engineering courses, “Slurry Handling, Pumping and Pipeline Design”, 19th-20th June, Cranfield, Bedfordshire.

The challenges of handling solid/liquid mixtures such as suspensions, dispersions, slurries and pastes are commonplace throughout industry.  Such handling operations include in-plant transfers in pipelines, plus feeding and discharge to and from agitated storage vessels.  These processes provide cost-effective, economic and efficient methods of transporting products with the minimum of maintenance and low environmental impact.

Whether you use the design techniques for in-plant transfer of minerals, bulk chemicals, food, or pharmaceutical products, or the secure transportation of effluent and waste products, this training Course will focus upon aspects critical to the effective operation of your processes.

BHR Group, internationally recognised global consultants in innovative fluid engineering and technology conference specialists, proudly announces the 22nd International Conference on Fluid Sealing, Düsseldorf, Germany, 3rd -4th December 2013.

Efficient sealing impacts on the integrity and reliability of equipment and processes found in virtually every industrial sector.  When equipment fails due to malfunctioning seals, it can result in hugely expensive costs; restorative costs, lost production, loss of plant or equipment availability, unacceptable health and safety risks, plus the association of a negative equipment image with end users.  The challenge remains for engineers across the process plant, industrial equipment, machinery and transportation systems sectors to deploy cost-effective and compliant solutions to their complex fluid sealing requirements.  To do this they need informed knowledge about the latest developments and an understanding of how advances made in other industries may have significance...
